Often it is easier to discuss areas of life being considered for change by a trained professional who is neutral and unbiased. Whether that is to fulfil potential, achieve balance or make changes, coaching is a skilful profession which provokes thought, action and intention towards a desired outcome. Coaching whilst often focusing on the short term, can establish long-term self-awareness and understanding.

Coaching is a collaboration, a trusting relationship, an equal partnership. Coaching is a stimulating, facilitated conversation, between two people, an exploration of options, meanings and actions which provokes thought, action and intention towards a desired outcome. Coaching can establish long-term self-awareness and understanding and is conducted in a safe, confidential environment.

That depends on the coaching programme which is agreed between us and considers: location, frequency, length of session, number of sessions for example.

There are pros and cons to either online coaching or face to face. The obvious benefits of being coached online are: accessibility, convenience and flexibility of location, but face to face interactions often hold a deeper resonance for our clients. It is very much down to you and we will accommodate either options or a blend of the two.

Coaching is a relationship between two people and we would positively encourage you to talk to other coaches and organisations to see who can best serve you. Our coaching practice is based on recognised coaching qualifications, hours of hands on experience and a maturity in life experiences. We are quietly proud of what we do. The majority of our clients are referred to us and we thrive on our own professional and personal development to make us the better coaches.

This is the science behind understanding what makes people flourish and is sometimes called ‘the science of optimal functioning’. It is not about fixing something that is broken, but it’s about making life better. In a coaching environment a coach will use and advise on Positive Psychology techniques and exercises to build awareness, motivation and reflection. You will maybe familiar with terms such as: authentic happiness, mental wealth, flow, thriving, betterment.

Understanding why people think and behave in particular ways leads to better conversations and outcomes in the coaching environment and creates an ideal environment where people can do their best thinking. A client learns to think and reflect different ways, works out what works best for them and understand what happens when they apply new thinking to their situation.
